IPL 2023: At a CSK training session at Chepauk, MS Dhoni exits to a derogatory roar.

Few players in Indian cricket can match MS Dhoni’s reputation. Despite the fact that the wicket-keeper batter ended his international career years ago, fans still line up to see the legendary cricketer. Before of Chennai Super Kings’ IPL 2023 opener against defening champions Gujarat Titans, Dhoni came out for a practise session at Chepauk, with thousands of supporters in attendace. The entire crowd erupted in applause when Dhoni entered the ground, cheering for Chennai’s favourite son.

With the exception of Ravindra Jadeja, who served as captain for a brief period last season, Dhoni has served as the Super Kings’ lone full-time leader during their tenure. Dhoni joined the team during the IPL in 2008, and he has performed admirably while donning the yellow shirt. However, a lot of people think that his final IPL season as a player could be in 2023.

During a practise, the crowd greeted MS Dhoni as follows:

The 41-year-old Dhoni, with his huge biceps and never decreasing lightning reflexes, is a top draw even though his batting prowess hasn’t earned needed return.

This season, CSK will get to play seven games at “Fortress Chepauk” thanks to the IPL’s return to its traditional home-and-away structure. Dhoni, who reclaimed the leadership from a furious Ravindra Jadeja, would undoubtedly prefer to end his career on a strong note after the team missed the playoffs last year. One may never be sure about “Captain Marvel” because he might also be about to go.
